Ambury, Nancy Gail (nee Wilson) 1940- 2018

Family, Music, Caregiving and Love.

After a life full of love and beauty, Nancy peacefully left her loving family on January 13, 2018, in the gentle care of Providence Care Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved Rev. Dr. George Ambury, parents Walter and Gladys Wilson, and sisters Marjorie Turcotte, Shirley Smith and Mauveen Bush. Nancy leaves behind her best friend and sister Sharon Wilson, forever grateful  children Philip, Dan (Karen Lamers), Karisa (Lonny Gibson) and Stephen (Julie Thorpe), her most cherished grandchildren Beth, Chris, Emma, Liam, Sophie, Brooke, Gabe and Daniel, and her many nieces and nephews. Nancy leaves a legacy of serving the needs of others in this world, enjoying a life filled with music, teaching, following your passions, enjoying amazing food with friends and family, and demonstrating unconditional love.

Nancy and her family were deeply grateful for the kindness and care provided by Dr. Janet Watt, hospital staff, and community care providers (Heart Failure Clinic, Paramed and all those involved in her care) who have supported Nancy over many years.

The family welcomes visitors to the R. Reid Funeral Home Wednesday January 17, 2018 from 6 to 9 pm.  There will be a service of remembrance Thursday January 18, 2018 at 11am lead by dear friend Rev. Bill Hendry.  All are welcome to stay for refreshments after the service.  A private committal with the family will take place following the reception.
